About the event

AACE New York in collaboration with MTA is offereing a free 2-hour tour of the east side access. The tour starts and end in Grand Central Terminal. It begins with a brief presentation about the history of the project, then a full site walk of the future LIRR Terminal below Grand Central, and ends with a brief Q&A if there are any outstanding questions from the group. 

Tour Requirements:

ATTENDEE VETTING: as this is a federal project, no one is allowed to enter the job site until they have received a full background check from the MTAPD. All tour attendees must provide a photo or copy of their ID. The following forms of ID are accepted by MTAPD: US passport, foreign passport, US state issued driver's license, US state issued ID card, NYC ID, or visa and date of entry. The ID must be non-redacted and that all information must be legible. All participants ID’s must be sent to me no later than 2 weeks prior to the tour date. 

FOOTWEAR: Participants must wear appropriate footwear such as work/construction/hiking/rain/snow boots that are waterproof, have treaded soles and ankle coverage or support. Attendees without appropriate footwear will not be permitted on the work site.

ATTIRE: Appropriate attire for this tour includes clothing (khakis, chinos, jeans, dungarees, etc.,) that participants do not mind getting wet or muddy. Shorts, athletic pants, skirts, sleeveless shirts, and dresses are NOT considered appropriate attire.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: all participants will be required to ascend and descend at least fifteen flights of stairs.
